Empowering Nigerian women as a part of our 13th birthday celebration

In celebration of our 13th anniversary, we joined forces with the Keeping it Real Foundation (KIR) to help Nigerian women increase their entrepreneurial capabilities.

The Octa and KIR's charity initiative targeted 50 underprivileged Nigerian women in Calabar, Lagos, Jos, and Port-Harcourt. Project beneficiaries include single mothers, women with disabilities, and those who lost their husbands to internal conflicts. They already have vocational skills but are hindered in pursuing their profession by needing essential equipment and business knowledge.

The initiative included providing women with various tools and agricultural goods. Women received grinding machines, sealers, and other equipment that would improve their working conditions and enable them to increase their income.

In addition, we conducted training in financial literacy, customer management, and sales optimisation. These skills will help the participants improve their business acumen and monetise their vocational skills.
