U.S. Dollar
The currency of the United States of America. The most used currency for International transactions and the most dominant reserve currency. Also, USD, greenback. -
U.S. Dollar index (USDX)
An index measuring the strength of the U.S. dollar against a basket of currencies that consists of euro, Japanese yen, pound sterling, Canadian dollar, Swedish krona, and Swiss franc. -
U.S. treasury
A U.S. Government department responsible for issuing Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds. -
Undervalued
A term describing a financial instrument selling in the market for a price that is believed to be lower than its actual intrinsic value. Intrinsic value is the present value of the free cash flows that the company is expected to generate. To evaluate an undervalued stock, one can examine the company's underlying financial statements and analyse its condition to estimate the instrument's intrinsic value. On the other hand, a stock considered overvalued is priced higher in the market than its perceived value. -
Unemployment rate
The percentage of the workforce unemployed but actively seeking employment and willing to work calculated by dividing the number of unemployed individuals by the total number of individuals in the labour force, which includes both employed and unemployed individuals. The unemployment rate is an important economic indicator that helps determine the health of the job market and the overall state of the economy. Terms used in the same context include jobless rate, claimant count change, employment change, and initial jobless claims. -
Uniswap
The Uniswap platform was built to solve various liquidity issues on specific platforms. Its digital currency uses the abbreviation UNI. -
Upside
A potential increase in the value of a financial instrument calculated through methods of technical and fundamental analysis. It is measured in monetary or percentage terms. -
Uptick
It is a transaction executed at a price greater than the previous transaction. -
Upward correction
A price rebound that goes against a downward trend. It can be caused by the news and analytical reports that show that an instrument is oversold or a market is undervalued. -
User status
Is the user's level in Octa's status program that determines the set of benefits the user can enjoy. The higher the users' overall balance, the higher is their user status. Higher status holders have access to more benefits.
