Emas telah bereaksi positif terhadap tarif AS terbaru, catat analis komoditas Commerzbank, Barbara Lambrecht. 

Indikator ekonomi AS dapat memperkuat harapan akan lebih banyak pemangkasan suku bunga

"Harga mencapai rekor tertinggi baru. Selain itu, selisih harga antara Emas di Comex dan harga spot di London telah melebar lagi, yang dapat dijelaskan oleh kekhawatiran tentang tarif AS yang akan berlaku minggu depan karena ini juga dapat mempengaruhi impor Emas dari Kanada." 

"Namun, ini juga menunjukkan bahwa rally Emas belum sepenuhnya berakhir. Kami menganggap Emas didukung dengan baik untuk saat ini, terutama karena indikator ekonomi AS yang berpotensi mengecewakan minggu depan dapat memperkuat harapan akan lebih banyak pemangkasan suku bunga oleh The Fed."

Data yang diterbitkan minggu ini oleh Otoritas Statistik Hong Kong mengenai perdagangan Emas dengan Tiongkok mengonfirmasi gambaran permintaan Emas yang sangat lemah di Tiongkok, catat analis komoditas Commerzbank Carsten Fritsch. Ekspor Emas ke Tiongkok dan Hong Kong terhenti pada bulan Februari. "Menurut data, 26,4 ton lebih banyak Emas yang dikirim dari Tiongkok ke Hong Kong pada bulan Februari dibandingkan sebaliknya.
