EUR futures: risks of further decline

In light of preliminary figures for EUR futures markets from CME Group, open interest rose by around 5.4K contracts on Thursday from Wednesday’s final 516,385 contracts. On the other hand, volume dropped by more than 43.5K contracts, partially reverting the previous large build.

EUR/USD still targets 1.1916

The bearish note around EUR/USD remains intact today. The pair, however, could attempt some consolidation following yesterday’s uptick in both prices and open interest in spite of the moderate decline in volume, while another visit to YTD low at 1.1916 stays well on the cards.
