GBP/USD slip contained by 1.6770

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The GBP/USD has moved a tad lower during the European session, extending its corrective pullback from multi-year highs to lows sub-1.6800.

The GBP/USD was unable to regain the 1.6800 mark and slid to a 2-day low of 1.6773 before finding support. However, trading will likely remain subdued in Good Friday holiday trade with most markets closed and no indicators scheduled until Monday Asian session.

GBP/USD technical levels

The GBP/USD is currently trading at 1.6785, just 0.04% below its opening price. In terms of technical levels, next supports are seen at 1.6773 (Apr 18 low), 1.6749 (10-day SMA) and 1.6719 (Apr 16 low). On the flip side, resistances line up at the 1.6794/1.6800 area (Apr 18 high/psychological level), 1.6819/21 (Apr 10/Feb 17 highs) and 1.6841 (2014 high Apr 17).
