US stocks lose momentum but still up

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Equities in the US are rising on Monday but off session highs while European markets finished with gains. Main indexes in Europe ended higher: FTSE 100 +1%, Dax +1.91%, Cac 40 +1.21% and FTSE MIB +1.39%. In Wall Street, the Dow Jones was rising 0.11% while the S&P 500 was up 0.64%.

The currency market remains mostly flat, with the Canadian dollar rising across the board, while the US dollar is posting marginal gains. Most crosses are trading sideways near Friday’s closing price.

Gold was falling modestly trading around $1,309/oz while crude oil was recovering after falling last week and managed to rise back above $98.00 a barrel.
